WELCOME
- HOT OFF THE PRESS!! |
Oisin Lunny has
been commissioned for a further series of idents for
RTÉ ONE on air from January 2008.
“Oisin was selected
as composer for the new RTÉ ONE idents on the
basis of his sensitive approach to the project. We needed
an Irish sound that was unique, but not in any way a
cliché, we also needed 12 variations on the theme
so that each ident would be unique yet still be part
of the whole. Oisin’s creativity and imagination
gave life and vitality to a fresh new look for our premiere
channel. When the time came to augment the new look
with additional idents, he again came up with the goods,
working against a tight schedule Oisin delivered on
time, on brand, and in perfectly harmony with the new
visuals. As Creative Director of RTÉ, the Irish
National Broadcaster, I have no hesitation in recommending
his talents!”

NEW RELEASES ***

The Best of Seeca 2008
After another busy year, it’s
time to celebrate the eclectic host of artists we have
on the Seeca roster with releasing ‘The Best of
Seeca 2008’ !!
This superb selection of diverse musical
treats opens with an atmospheric track from Iceland’s
‘VATNA’. This is closely followed by ‘The
Exits’ blasting a Kasabian esque number called
‘Fever’. We then have huge amounts of talent
oozing from a new exciting female singer-songwriter
‘Anna K Jarosz’. Followed by, ‘Marc
Ozall’ delivering a moving Damien Rice style ballad
‘I Can’t Sleep Tonight’.
This wouldn’t be ‘The
Best of Seeca 2008’ without tracks from the original
crew members Oisin Lunny and Mat Lester. Oisin’s
‘Theme for a Northern Soul’ reminds us why
he is our most prolific & successful composer/producer.
Mat has been working under the guise of ‘The Warrior
Monks’ and this shows him entering into new territory
from his previous band ‘The Lights’ with
a hit record ‘The Exorcist’ on a drum n
bass tip.
The Best of Seeca 2008 also features
emotive & “atmospheric cinematic tracks”
from Soundtracks for a B Movie and IGLOO FM .
Everyone here in the Seeca office
thinks it is our best offering yet.

Soundtracks
for a B Movie “Misanthrope”

Where man and machine
coincide, where Electronica meets post-rock, where nature
and technology are wrapped around each other in a cocoon
of hidden secrets and muted emotions. Born from the
notion that live guitars and percussion can be coupled
with a mix of electronic textures for a truly undeniable
effect of the listener taking you on a day dream you
may never want to awaken from….
Yes Soundtracks for a B Movie is the sound of one man
taking twilight back for the dreamers.
The
Common Redstarts “British Social Attitudes”

Radio support from
Zane Lowe @ Radio 1, Dermot O’Leary @ Radio 2,
Xfm London, BBC 6 Music, Forth One Fm, Xfm Scotland
Xfm Manchester, Clyde 1 Fm and Kerrang! “British
Social Attitudes” was recorded at Chemikal Underground’s

THE EXITS

Hailing From: Portsmouth
Biog: Their upbeat
mix of synth driven dance/rock with uplifting undertones
has led “The Exits” to cause quite a movement
on the south coast and London circuits. With performances
at the HI FI South Festival, the 2006 Primal Scream
end of tour after show party, and sold out shows at
The Brixton Jamm, Wedgewood Rooms and Portsmouth Guildhall.
Their rabble rousing electro sound sets them apart from
the crowd and has allowed them to sit comfortably in
both the live music and clubbing scene, and seen them
support DJ sets from indie legends Bez (Happy Mondays,
Black Grape), and Mani (The Stone Roses, Primal Scream).
There is no question that these guys from the south
coast are a future force to be reckoned with.
For Fans of: Primal
Scream, Kasabian.
